I Cannot Make a False Camera Go Away in MAX

Yesterday, I mistakenly assigned the Basler driver to a Basler USB camera in NIMAX.  I figured out how to undo that and assign the NI driver I wanted, but now there is an erroneous "camera" that shows up on my list of camera choices, even if I have nothing plugged into the USB ports.  See attached image.  When a user attempts to open this nonexistent camera, imaqdx error 0x80004005 pops up.

I thought I would be clever and delete everything from C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\NI-IMAQdx\Data, thus eliminating the problematic iid file, but when I do that, the system automatically creates a new iid file, using the lowest available camera number.  What is generating that file?  How do I make it stop?

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.

You will need to uninstall the Basler software first.  THis is a virtual driver, so it remains even if the actual camera is removed.  You may also need to go into the IMAQdx\data directory and remove the camera files there.

Thanks!  I was hoping I could do it without removing and reinstalling the Basler software, but I guess not.
