I want to know how to grab by de - interlaced inage in the MAX by Guppy F-025B?

Dear Sir

May I ask a question.?
I have a Guppy F-025B with interlaced type camera

When I use the SmartView (made by AVT), then the camera image is good
of cource, I check the function " de-Interlaced"

but, when I'm testing with MAX and LabVIEW, I can't get the de-interlaced image,
just, get even image and added odd image,
so, I can't get the full image,

How can I get the full image?
Help me please.

Hi Redfield,

It sounds like your camera has interlacing as an attribute.  If you open MAX is interlacing listed as one of the Camera Attributes?  If not what attributes are listed?  It may just be a matter of setting that attribute in MAX.  To see the attributes in LabVIEW use the IMAQdx enumerate attributes vi.  If that isn’t listed as one of the attributes then if you set an attribute with the SmartView software are those attributes still applied when you acquire an image in MAX?   Keep me posted.

Hi Redfield,

Interlacing will not appear as an attribute because that is not a standardized feature exposed via DCAM. However, looking at the manual for the camera (http://www.alliedvisiontec.com/fileadmin/files/pdf/produkte/technical_manuals/Guppy_TechMan_V6.0.1_e...) it would appear that your camera returns interlaced data in Format 7 Modes 0 and 1, but progressive data in Mode 2. You should simply need to change the video mode to Format 7 Mode2 in the configuration in MAX.

Dear GiGe

Thank you for answering my question.

I'm using with IMAQ dx Example (Grab and attributes setup) and I test it, but

I can't find about this function in the attribute

Please, see my all attributes information

Dear Blue Cheese

My Guppy F-025's Video mode is format 7 mode 0, that is 508x488

and format7 mode2 is 252x244,

I want to get the full image not a small image.

so, please advice another way about my question.

Thank you very much

Dear Redfield,

the deinterlacing in MAX is indeed not possible, as it is no DCAM Feature.
Not sure, but that should be the same with an analoge camera, if the grabber does not the job.

But find attached an example, on how to deinterlace the Guppy 025/029/038/044 image under LabView.
With that, you will be able to get the full resolution of the camera.
