IMAQ dll giving strange results

when i try to use the imaq.dll file found in System32 it gives me strange results when using it. Such as imgInterfaceOpen(char[], INTERFACE_ID) says that is really wants imgInterfaceOpen(NumericalArray, INTERFACE_ID). any ideas on how to fix this

I am trying to use MATLAB to access this dll and i MUST use DLLS. Since the types dont match MATLAB willnot run the code.

I have vision 8.5.1 installed.

Hi Chico,

I would take a look at the NI-IMAQ Function Reference Help which can be found by going to Start»Programs»National Instruments»Vision»Documentation»NI-IMAQ.  You can look up the imgInterfaceOpen function here and see all of the input parameters and such.  This would be the best place to start.
