Is PCI-1410 compatible with Sony XC-56 and what cable should be used to connect?

I have a Sony analog CCD camera, XC-56, and want to purchase NI grame grabber, PCI-1410 to connect it with my camera.

But, I could not find any information about XC-56 camera in NI website.

Please, let me know if PCI-1410 supports XC-56, and if so,

tell me what cable is the best candidate to connect them.

Thanks in advance.

Sincerely,

Hello,

The website you posted indicates that the XC-56 has the same pinout as the XC-55, so a cable that works with the XC-55 will also work for the XC-56.  National Instruments does sell a cable for use with the XC-55, the IMAQ A8055.  This cable should also work with the XC-56 and the PCI-1410.

If the camera is a standard RS-170 or 30Hz Progressive Scan camera, then it should work with the standard analog camera files provided with the NI-IMAQ driver.  This is the case with the XC-55 in non-asynchronous mode.  However, to use the XC-55 in asynchronous reset mode, a special camera file needs to be downloaded from our ftp site.  Since the XC-56 is not a direct replacement for the XC-55, the camera file may not be applicable.

If a special camera file is needed for use with the XC-56, you may want to contact National Instruments directly (phone or e-mail) to discuss options for camera file creation.

Hope this help out!

Best Regards,
