Hello,
We're having trouble getting our Marlin F131B-NIR camera to run under Labview.
The camera works (using AVT Unicam 1.1.3) using Matlab.
The computer has MAX 4.7.4f0 and Vision Acquisition Software August 2010 (NI-IMAQdx 3.7) and is running Windows XP 32-bit SP3. The Labview version is v8.6, but the problem is back at MAX.
The camera appears in MAX, as
NI-IMAQdx Devices
cam1:AVT 1394 camera
but when we click on the camera we get an error message of
Error 0xBFF69000
Not enough Memory
We'd be most grateful for suggestions how to get the camera to open in MAX.
Thanks a lot,
Gil

Hi Gil,
In this system, how many camera do you try to use (1, 2, ...) ? Could you confirm me that when you test your camera in MAX, AVT Unicam is closed and has released the ressource ?
Have you correctly associated the driver NI (Legacy IMAQ for IEEE 1394 driver) to this camera in MAX ?
There is a good web page on our web site that resum all step to configure and install a IEE-1394 camera on a computer. Perhaps, that could help you to invesigate on this issue :

Hi Christophe,
Thanks a lot for your help. AVT just replied at the same time and it seems that our problem is a know conflict with the Intek 1394 Driver.
Following their suggestion we used "AVT 1394 Bus Driver" program to switch between the Intek driver and their "AVT 1394 Bus Driver". As soon as we switch to the AVT 1394 Bus Driver, the camera works in MAX. Unfortunately, it no longer works in Matlab. However, it's fairly easy to switch between the two 1394 bus drivers.
Thus, the working config is:
Marling F131B-NIR camera
AVT 1394 Bus Driver for built-in firewire port
AVT Universal Driver for camera
NI-MAX 4.7.4f0
NI-Vision August 2010 --> NI-IMAQdx 3.7
In response to your questions,
- We are only using a single firewire camera
- We tested in MAX without any other applications running (after a reboot). The problem is always present using the Intek 1394 driver and never present for the AVT 1394 driver.
- We believe we had the right camera driver associated in MAX.
Thanks again for your help.
Best wishes,
Gil
