NI-1429 which mainboard ?

Hi,

I've got an NI-1429 framegrabber but unfortunately it doesn't work in my mainboard. Now I'm looking for a socket 775 mainboard which works with this framegrabber (so a replacement for my current mainboard).

I know there are mainboards with two x16 PCIe slots, but I have no idea whether they work with this framegrabber.
Has someone tested any of such boards ?

I don't need the full x4 PCIexpress support and I think even x1 would be sufficient for now so I'm already happy when the card just works in x1 mode.

Hi Marcel,

This link profides all the information you need to know about which slots the PCIe-1429 will function in and what restrictions you will have on other configurations.

Hope this helps.

This page was already known to me, but unfortunately only partial helpful to what I want.

I really don't want to buy the dual Xeon board as it's overkill for my application. I would like some mainboard that has either 4x,8x or 16x PCie slot that works for this card and uses a chip set that works for my P4 processor that I already have. I tried a Gigabyte mainboard but that PC won't even boot when the NI-1429 is fit in the 16x slot (perhaps a BIOS issue, so I'll check for updates).
I'm a bit afraid that when I buy another mainboard that the same thing happens. So I was hoping someone had tested the NI-1429 in a another mainboard than these dual Xeon types.

Marcel
