NI IEEE 1394 IMAQ package with Pixelink Camera

Hi,

Currently, I am thinking of getting this camera Pixelink IEEE1394 PL-A741. Just wonder whether any one of you have used it before? Would it work well with the NI IEEE1394 package since it is DCAM (IIDC V1.31) compatible...as Pixelink camera seem not to be found inside NI supported camera list

Hello,

As long as the camera is DCAM compliant, there should not be any problems in getting the camera to interface with the NI-IMAQ for IEEE 1394 drivers.  The list of supported cameras is only meant to indicate what cameras have been tested by NI engineers.  Pixelink cameras are fairly commonly used and should not cause any problems.
