Hi

Question 1:  Yes. I am using logitech quickcam pro 4000 and it runs fine. I tried different logitech webcams an all of then run fine. Obviously, there are some differences in picture quality....

Questios 2: I am not sure about that, but probably most webcams that run under Windows will support Directshow.

You can email manufacturer to make sure it will run.

Hope it helps

Hello
I guess the NI USB webcam driver works only with IMAQ vision 7.1.

There are activex and toolkits to use webcams in Labview. search this forums.
I recommend you to download ROBOLAB for Labview    http://www.ceeo.tufts.edu/robolabatceeo/college/robolabforlabview/default.asp . Its multimedia tools will allow you to grab pictures using a USB webcam and convert to IMAQ format for further processing. I only tested it to grab pictures and seems to be quite good and integrates fine with Labview. Not sure if it will run using vision 6.0 but you can try.

hope it helps

Hi,

I have bought the Logitech Quickcam 4000 but have a problem with Labview 7.1 and Vision Assistent 7.1.1

I've seen the problem earlier in the forum. but did't find a solution.

The problem is the System Memory failure in Labview and the wrong camera settings in Assistent.

Can anybody help??Smiley Sad

Hi,

National Instruments' application engineers do not support the NI-IMAQ for USB Cameras driver.  As an applications engineer, I have very little experience with this driver, but I will be happy to help.  Can you please provide more information (error codes (ex. -70837596), where the error is occurring, etc)?

Regards,
