Hello Berenice,

Thank you for using our discussion forums. From your description of the problem it sounds like NI-IMAQ support for LabWindows/CVI hasn't been installed. Follow the steps below to install NI-IMAQ support for LabWindows/CVI:

1. Shutdown CVI and launch Add or Remove Programs.
2. From the list of programs installed on your machine select National Instruments Software.
3. On making this selection you will see a button that reads "Change", click this button.
4. Pressing change will launch a window that lists all National Instruments Software installed on your computer.
5. Select NI-IMAQ from this list and press "Modify", this will bring up the installation options for NI-IMAQ
6. From the list select support for LabWindows/CVI and proceed with the installation.
7. Once the install is complete restart your computer and launch LabWindows/CVI. You should now see NI-IMAQ functions in the libraries.

If there is still a problem, make sure that niimaq.fp and niimaq.lib files are present under "C:\Program Files\National Instruments\CVI\bin folder". Have a great day!

Thanks for help! but I still have problems, I made all what you said to install the support(NI-IMAQ) for Labwindows and I did copy too the files niimaq.lib and niimaq.fp to C:\...\cvi\bin, but when I try to launch labwindows appears this message: "Aborted load of library c:\...\niimaq.lib, the file format of niimaq.lib does not match that used by the current compatibility mode." and do not load the NI-IMAQ Library.
once again thanks for your time!

Hello Berenice,

Thank you for your reply. Try manually adding the imaq library to CVI. Go to the Project Window and select Options->Library Options. Browse to the cvi\bin\niimaq.fp file and add it to the user library list. Then, restart CVI and all the functions will be there. Have a great day!
