NI-IMAQdx compatibility with GeoVision GV-FE110

Can anyone tell me if this IP camera is compatible with NI-IMAQdx..

GeoVision GV-FE110

That is, will it be seen by MAX and integrate with my other AXIS IP cameras.

The manual is here:  http://www.apexcctv.com/support/Downloads/IPCameras/GeoVision/GV-FE110/GV-FE110_manual.pdf

The specs are on page 103.

Thanks for any advice.

Phil.

OK, since there are no immediate replies, can anyone tell me of an updated list of IMAQdx "compatible" IP-cameras.

or even better, is there a way for me to figure it out for myself?  It seems like there must be some basic capabilities that LV requires...  or is it a metter of a driver being written for each camera/brand?

There is custom viewer software with the camera that is proprietary, but apparently the video is also viewable through a browser, but only with an AxtiveX control loaded.

Phil.

ps: I'd just buy one and try it, but they are $400 each.

ps: I'm looking for a NI compatible wide angle (this one is a 360 fish eye) IP camera for an underwater robot.

Hi Philbot,

As of now, IMAQdx supports only Axis and Basler IP cameras. It is a matter of a driver being written for the camera, but there is a chance you can get it to work.

shows a way to connect and I have seen in the manual that the camera does support the mjpeg codec.

As to IP cameras that would be compatible and wide angle, you can check https://www.ni.com/en-us/shop/category/machine-vision.html or Axis or Basler's site to find a camera that meets your specs and put a wide angle fish eye lens on it. Does it need to be waterproof?
