NI Imaq with a Dual AMD system

I have been trying to use a program that relies on NI Imaq and NI Daq for acquiring images and sending out trigger signals. Within the program there is the ability to acquire a long image sequence, which requires that NI Imaq set aside RAM memory. Everytime that I try to acquire these long image sequences, the program tells me that it is unable to allocate memory for the image sequence. I have adjusted the "Max number of buffers" within MAX, but was unable to directly run ImaqConf.exe. The program runs fine on a dual Pentium system. I was wondering if the problems might be with NI Imaq on the dual AMD system that I am currently using? How do I check that NI Imaq is operating correctly to determine if the problem is NI Imaq or the image ac
quisition software?

Hello gidgetnasa,

In the past, I have seen a similar error.
- I have not seen it in the more resent versions of NI-IMAQ (check www.ni.com/download).
- Please check and see if you can upgrade to a newer version.

According to your email, you have increased the max number of buffers to a higher number.
- How many buffers have you increased it to?
- What is the size and pixel depth of each buffer?

Please let me know if you have any additional questions or follow-up information,

Alan Hagler
