Hi Shiva, i saw you had been working with the robot Staubli and the controller Cs8 and the ethernet connection, please i want to know how i can work with a PLC s7300 sending info via ethernet to the cs8 controller.

I am just trying to send a bit with the PLC and i want  the robot get it and after he will answer wIth another bit, but i dont know how to do it in Val3 and how to configure the CS8 controller. We are using just Ethernet.

Hi,

I have no idea about the communication between PLC and Ethernet. But it should be the same as this communication. Please follow the document. Instead of Hyperterminal use PLC. If it Doesen't work, you could tell me specifically. So that I will look further and I will try to find out a solution.

Hi,

Ok lets try this..

--> In your Staubli robotic suite you will find an option physicalIOs

--> click on it you will see an option Modbus IO Config

--> Here you can add all your Digital and Analouge outputs using options below Topic name and TCP Port

--> Initially add 2 Digital Inputs and outputs

--> Enter correct TCP Port number

--> Export the XML data

--> Save this data in your PLC IO folder

--> Restart PLC and Scan the Device

--> try sending and receiving IOs

I tried by the way you told me but the robot doesnt answer  and the PLC show that it is activating the bit but the robot doesnt act or do something.Thank you
