NI Vision OpenCV Utilities DO NOT Support Windows10+LabVIEW2018SP1

Dears:

As <NI Vision Development Module 2018 SP1 Readme> said:

External Library Support

The NI Vision Development Module supports the external vision library OpenCV. Refer to the National Instruments Web site to download the NI Vision OpenCV support utilities.

However, VIPM shows that NI Vision OpenCV Utilities DO NOT Support Windows10 + LabVIEW2018SP1  like below:

Anyone could help me? Thanks a lot!~~

BTW, The CPU I use is Intel i7-8700K with the motherboard Z370, so I HAVE TO install Windows10.

Refer to:

Windows 10 is the only Windows version that is supported on the following processor generations:

  • Intel seventh (7th)-generation processors
  • AMD “Bristol Ridge”
  • Qualcomm “8996"

We recommend that you upgrade Windows Server 2012 R2-based and Windows Server 2008 R2-based computers to Windows Server 2016, and Windows 8.1-based and Window 7-based computers to Windows 10 if those computers have a processor that is from any of the following generations:

  • Intel seventh (7th)-generation "Intel Core" processor or a later generation

It works for me, even though Windows 10 isn't listed as a compatible OS. I don't think I did anything special to get it working, I remember having to run VIPM as admin to get it to install properly though.

I'm using a Dell XPS 15 with the following:

  • Intel i7-7700HQ
  • Windows 10 Pro, version 1803, OS 17134.648

Thank you, ng1902 very much!!

It works for me. The key is Run VIPM as Administrator before installing the OpenCV toolkit!~
