NIMAX fails with FLIR A35 GigE Camera

NIMax failes with the following error message: 0xBFF69011 Unable to get attribute. I have two FLIR A35 cameras connected to a NI8235 frame grabber when I get this error message. NIMax sees the cameras, but fails as soon as you click on a camera. I get the same error even if I connect the camera to the ethernet port of the MB. Using FLIR's camera viewer software the camera works just fine, so this appears to be a NI problem. NIMax is a new install on a new HPZ220 workstation running Windows 7 64 bit.

Thanks

Hi Dan,

Unfortunately you'll have to contact FLIR support to ask about a firmware upgrade to fix that issue. FLIR's software doesn't go through the same GenICam XML mechanism that is used by standard GigE Vision compliant software and so that is likely why you are not seeing this issue when using their software. We have worked with FLIR directly in the past to identify these types of problems and help get them resolved, but depending on what firmware you are using you may still see issues.

Use GEVPlayer first to connect to the camera. Look for any settings that show a red X. Reset those values, and save to one of the user sets. Make that userset the default on powerup.
