Hi,

I'd like to use the cameras is IMPERX IPX-2M30H-L and Sony XC-HR70, but it can't be used because they are not listed in "Camera advisor".

So, if possible I wish you to make camera files for above cameras.

If you would like to request a camera file, I would recommend using the link at the bottom of Camera Advisor (www.ni.com/camera). This provides a form to fill out and an email address to send the form to. The Imperx IPX-2M30H-L camera is a good candidate for camera file creation by National Instruments since it is Camera Link and there's not already a camera file. If you fill out the form and send it in, a National Instruments engineer will contact you within a week to provide a timeframe if we decide to develop the camera file for it. The Sony XC-HR70 is an analog camera, and can be supported by the PCI-1410. I will update Camera Advisor with the camera file for the 1410, but it should also ship with NI-IMAQ 3.1.1. The Tutorial link at the top of Camera Advisor provides some helpful information about whether a camera is supported already.

Hello tanguri, For the Sony XC-HR70 we recommend the PCI-1410. There is also a camera file available for this camera to work with the 1410.

The XC-HR70 and the XC-HR50 do not output a pixel clock signal, which the 1409 requires to acquire from non standard video signals. The 1410 doesn't have this requirement because the PLL is more flexible and so this device is the recommended option for nonstandard video signals like these cameras output.

and I have ever used the HR50 with 1409.

Could you tell me the detail reason why the 1409 cannot support HR70?

The 1409 requires the camera's pixel clock for non standard camera resolution acquisitions.  The HR70 does not provide this signal (it used to, but required soldering a jumper on the camera's circuit board and this dramatically reduced the quality of the image, so Sony stopped recommending this).  Because the HR 70 doesn't provide a good way to output the pixel clock signal, the HR70 won't be able to be supported with the 1409.

The HR 50 has a standard resoution and so it onl;y requires the HSYNC and VSYNC signals from the camera when doing asyncronous resert.
