Hi Folks -
I am looking for a robotic arm with multiple degrees of freedom to hold and tilt an object(s). Objects would range from about1" x 1" x 0.1" rectangular objects to perhaps 6" length x 2" diameter cylindrical objects. Weight of objects might be at most 20 lbs.
Robotic arm would have to be able to withstand x-rays up to 225 kV.
Would like to be able to control such an arm with LabVIEW Motion solution of some sort.
I know this is a tough one but looking to see if someone possibly has any experience that can help.
Sincerely,
Don

Hi Don,
You may take a look at ImagingLab Robotics libraries for LabVIEW - http://sine.ni.com/nips/cds/view/p/lang/ru/nid/211183
These libraries allows you to use LabVIEW for controlling almost all industrial robotic arms produced by Denso, Epson, Kuka, Kawasaki, Mitsubishi, Toshiba and Yaskawa Motoman.
You can choose any robotic arm from 7 robot manufacturers depending on your budget and requirements (in your case the arm should be able to work in such hazardous locations). I would recommend you either to contact local representative of the selected manufacturer or to visit their websites.
Sincerely,
Nik.
