Using local thresholds in Image Calibration in Vision Assistant

I want to train some calibration images with some 1280 x 720 images of grids that I'm taking with a fisheye lens. Usually, when I bring up Vision Assistant's Calibration Training interface, I get some really powerful local thresholding tools as in the screenshot above. 

But with the images I'm putting in now, I'm getting thresholding options that don't really meet my needs. These are shown in the screenshot below. Is there a way to manually choose the local threshold options?

HI,

You got this window because it seems you have a 32bit image instead of a 16 or 8bit grayscale image.

Convert your image to 8bit and you will have the threshold parameters you need.
