Hi,
Under the "Calibrate Image" state, the "save calibrated image to file" option does not work correctly.
Except for the "Point Distance" type of calibration, the new image is never saved. I checked the calibration image .cal2 in the folder \ProgramData\National Instruments\Vision Builder AI\Calibration, each iteration the meta-data are updated but not the image.
I have a camera calibrated with a grid pattern (see attached image) and using the Distortion Model. The working distance might change sometimes and I need to do a recalibration step. This step must be as simple as possible. Example : put a calibration pattern in the field of view and press a Recalibrate button.
With the above mentioned issue it's impossible. Each time I have to go manually in the option of the Calibrate Image state and update the calibration image myself. Otherwise the calibration is recomputed from the original image that is no more adapted for the new working distance.
Is there an easy way to make VBAI save a new calibration image at each iteration ?
Or is there something I have not understand about this "save calibrated image to file" option ?

Hi Larpin,
unfortunately VBAI doesn't support the suggested behaviour. The best alternative in my opinion would be to implement your application completly in LabVIEW!

Hi Misic,
That's what I was suspecting.
Thanks for the answer.
