Are you still seeing this issue? We would probably need some more information about your inspection to help.
However on first thoughts, I would advise on testing the digital line of the device to make sure that it does toggle indeed when expected to, and test this separate to your inspection code to make sure it is not still the combination of the two that breaks the logic. Then once this is confirmed I would check the code with a software trigger to make sure the logic works, and then re-link the two to confirm functionality.
Otherwise your configuration seems fine.

I have now found the Fault. I have not understood the way that the AI Buider works. I need to go to an 'END' point in order to leave the inspection loop and then the inspection select will then scan the digital I/O condition and select the next correct Inspect to run. Previously my perception of the term 'END' was to cease all Inspections run cleanup and finish program execution.
