Vision Builder AI 2009 the inspection selection refuses to change the inspection program.

Vision Builder AI 2009 the inspection selection refuses to change the inspection program even though the Digital input value changes and inspection selection is chosen as an option and the program is running in the inspection configuration. I have tried using digital I/O and PCI I/O. I have tried using a shared network variable all with no effect. what's going wrong? I have built a previous system which does work the only difference that I can see is that on my first system I used a Firewire card with onboard digital I/O this works  however the AI 2009 allows the use of Global Virtual Channels to select the correct inspection.

Hello Bartender,

Are you still seeing this issue? We would probably need some more information about your inspection to help.

However on first thoughts, I would advise on testing the digital line of the device to make sure that it does toggle indeed when expected to, and test this separate to your inspection code to make sure it is not still the combination of the two that breaks the logic. Then once this is confirmed I would check the code with a software trigger to make sure the logic works, and then re-link the two to confirm functionality.

Otherwise your configuration seems fine.

Let me know how you get on.

I have now found the Fault. I have not understood the way that the AI Buider works. I need to go to an 'END' point in order to leave the inspection loop and then the inspection select will then scan the digital I/O condition and select the next correct Inspect to run. Previously my perception of the term 'END' was to cease all Inspections run cleanup and finish program execution.
