Vision's CoreUtilization property

Hi

I found a the CoreUtilization property of the Imaq Vision component.

I cannot find any documentation on this. Does is set the maximum no of cores used? My current software runs on a Quad core so should I set it to 4? What happens if set to 4 and the PC just has 2 cores?

Thanks

Bestbier

You mean IMAQ Multi-Core Options VI?

If so, then normally you don't need to call this function, because by default all available cores will be utilized. This function nesessary if you need to reduce overall CPU load (for example, you have quad core, but would like to use only two for Vision application, the rest will be available for you).

Otherwise rememer, that not all IMAQ functions are optimized for MultiCore yet.

Ahrensburg - That's a nice place! I was there last year in September for some training. Much greener that where I am from in South Africa.

When you will (if you will) visit Ahrensburg for the next training, then don't hesitate to visit my office, located in the same building 😉

Andrey.

PS

Sorry for everyone for offtopic.

Sorry that we are off the topic.

I might be back. How do you know which building I went to? I know Ahrensburg is small, but it's not that tiny.

Best regards,

Bestbier
