We have joined the Axis Developers Program, and now have access to AXIS Media Parser SDK. This SDK "... enables flexible and easy integration of live view, recording and playback using any media format supported by Axis network video products. This SDK contains the AXIS Media Parser and the AXIS Media Viewer COM components..." 

We have installed the SDK and visual basic express 2010.. is it necessary to do some further configuration (create a "wrapper") to get access to this functionality?

As National Instrument employees, we monitor these Discussion Forums and do everything we can to make sure you are successful with our software. Since you are using the AXIS SDK, you will likely be more successful posing your question to AXIS directly. Here is a link to their Support information Page. It is possible that other customers can help you with this issue, but not having any AXIS experience myself, I am limited in the assistance I can give you. Best of luck!
