Why don't the img's in MAX match?

I've seen this problem for a while in MAX related to the IMAQ board names and am wondering why it has never been fixed.  It is usually caused when the user changes the IMAQ board names and then clicks on the tree to save the designations (see attached screen shot).  The items shown in the tree do not match the names shown in the Devices tab window (see right side of MAX window).  The tree is actually showing the correct names.

Thanks,

Bruce

Hey Bruce:

I tried replicating this on my machine (same versions) and initially saw this behavior as well.  However, once I refreshed the view, it fixed the names on the right.  Can you confirm whether or not you see the correct names after refreshing?

Actually Refreshing doesn't help unless while "NI-IMAQ Devices" is selected. You have to refresh before you go select "NI-IMAQ Devices" (or unselect then reselect it).

Is it possible for this to be fixed?  It's been quirky like this for a long time (many versions).

Thanks,
Bruce

I've tried this on two machines now with the following process.

  1. Change the interface for a frame grabber.
  2. Select NI-IMAQ Devices.
  3. Press F5 or select View»Refresh.
On both machines, the result of step 2 showed the old interface name but step 3 refreshed the view and resulted in the names matching up.

I accept with Alex person. I have had the issue in the past and refreshing fixed it.
