Wondering if I need to get the Vision Development Module

As part of our research project, we want to be able to control the camera, and process the image data. Do I need to have the Vision Development Module or can I just use the IMAQ drivers on NI's website?

What kind of camera are you using?

The IMAQ drivers are only for NI hardware.  For USB, Firewire, and GigE cameras, you will need the IMAQdx driver (not free).

What do you mean by process the data?

Depending on the processing you need, you may or may not need to have the Vision Development Module.
