We let  our image grabber card working in EXTERNAL mode,  we connect a sine singal from a singal generator to the image grabber card,  then we get a strange image , it seems has only two value 0 and 1 .what's wrong?

Hi Changle0204,

You connect the signal from the siggen to BNC of the frame grabber and set the image grabber card working in EXTERNAL mode?

Can you accompany your question with images of your camera setting and also the outcome?

Do you have a timing diagram of what your sync, pclk, and video signals look like?  It looks to me like you are varying the input of the video signal during the clamping period, so the front end is getting very confused and not using the correct DC restore value.
