can anyone help me for measuring angular displacement using Caliper in Ni vision assistant?

 I want to measure the linear displacement and angular displacement in NI vision builder... Can anyone help me in this regard?

Hi Devi,

Can you give us more information on your system? Using Caliper you can measure distance and angle. Do you want to fing out the change in position of an object from one image to another?

hi,

Suppose one ball is moved to a new position from its initial position, I want to measure the distance between the ball's intial and final position under the following conditions:

case 1:10 mm in a linear fashion

case 2: it moved to a new position at some angle

Note: I want to measure the linear  displacement in first case and in second case angular displacement and also the angle at the point of intersection of the lines drawn from the initial and final position of the ball.

okay, so is it like you take one image with a ball in one position and another image some time later with the ball in some other position, and now you want to calculate the displacement in these two images?

 If this is the case, then you have to somehow get the ball's initial and final position on the same image, this requires some image processing (filtering, addition subtraction etc.). once you get it on the same image, you find the distance between the centers of the ball to find the displacement.
