detecting no video signal in IMAQ

If no video signal is present when an IMAQ Acquire is done, then the acquisition MUST be re-initialised before it will perform a capture again. This has to be continually repeated if no video signal is present which slows the system down considerably. Is there a way in IMAQ to detect no video signal so that one does not have to continually re-initialise the card until a video signal is present?

Unfortunetly, this is a limitation of the NI-Imaq software. There is no present way to detect the "no signal" state.
