detection of faults in real time

I am doing a project in which I need to detect wrinkles on a piece of cardboard (packaging material). The packaging material is moving continuously. Please guide me what approach should I make? Would it be suitable to use labview or vision builder?

Yes LV and VBAI can do your job. As you said its continous, would suggest you to go for Linescan camera.

Thanks for your response. I've got NI 1744 smart camera. Are there any vbai files that I could refer to? Or any manual that you can refer which can perform task in 'real time'?
