driver for 12 bit IDS CCD camera

Just a couple of details:

1) the info about the preprocessing is in the camera manual (the link I provided is generic to the manual) in chapter A-camera basics/Pixel pre-processing in uEye cameras.

2) the local vendor provided me with this answer (partly in french):

---------------------------

Bonjour M. Croccolo,

The uEye .NET LabView samples were not released officially until now. This is planned for the next driver package in December. I guess you got a prerelease version of these samples.  Until now we don’t have these samples for LabView 2009, maybe there is a chance that we will also offer samples for older LabView versions in future.
But, what we won’t do is implementing the 12bpp support for the uEye LabView Interface, as this should not be used anymore and be replaced by the .NET SDK.

Nous restons à votre disposition si vous avez d’autres questions.

I had IDS in the office Wednesday demontrating their line of 3D cameras, so I took the opportunity to ask them about this problem.  It seems they puposely limited the SDK to 8-Bit when the camera interface is USB2.  USB3 and Gigabit Ethernet cameras allow it, but the Labview toolkit is not mature.
