extracting image information beyond ROI

I am converting pixels to real world values, however my calibration grid is smaller than my image and I would like to extract the data from the entire image. Currently, even though I am able to see  the entire opbject of interest in the image, the output is truncated, ie it does not seem to  pick up information beyond the ROI used in identifying the calibration grid. Does anyone have a suggesstion?

Hey revy,
YOu should defenitely use the grid to the size of the image and not the region of interest alone. What you are trying to do is wrong. Also use the grid with apacing as minimum as possible.

Hope it helps

Hi revy,

Muks is correct.  You need to use a calibration grid that is the same size as the area of your image.  If you can’t print out a single sheet that is big enough then print out several and tape them together.  You will have to make sure that the grid spacing stays constant.  If it is not then your image will not be calibrated correctly.
