I'm at the first step of installation of NI Vision Acquisition Software that came with my PCI-1405 - waiting for installation to initialize.  I get the following error:

"Fatal Error!!  Required NI PathsDir property CVIDIR is undefined."  The program quits when I push "OK"

Please help!

Hi BB,

Thanks for posting on the NI forums!  Before trying anything else, I suggest you download the latest version of the software from our website and try installing that.  You can get it here.  Remember that if you install the IMAQdx drivers (bundled with that download), you will be required to purchase/activate them before using Firewire or GigE cameras.
