file generator for fast camera

[10 tap VDS-1300-485N]

Hi,

I am using a fast camera VDS-1300-485N connected to a NI PCIe-1429 card.
I wish to configure the exposure time in a continuous mode by using a file generator,
however the NI Camera File Generator doesn't support the 10 tap configuration.

Is there another way?

Hello Tami,

Unfortunately, the 1429 cannot use ten taps.  The NI PCIe-1429 has eight 8-bit ports and can support up to 8 taps on an 8-bit camera; 1 2, or 4 tap 8-,10-, 12-, 14-, or 16-bit camera; or a 1 tap 24-bit color camera.  Camera Link comes in three configurations - base, medium, and full.  The base configuration uses three 8-bit taps, or input channels, to acquire up to 24 bits of data at a rate of 340 MB/s.  The full configuration offers eight taps and can acquire images up to 680 MB/s.
