Hello there !
I would like to create a simple machine vision system using cRIO 9072 and any webcam.
The application of this machine vision is to check for presence of component inside injection moulding die.
Kindly let me know if it is possible to create this simple machine vision system using cRIO and a webcam.
Kindly help me get started as this is an urgent requirement.
Thanks,
Murthy

A cRIO and a webcam is a very strange combination. I can't think of any way to connect a webcam to a cRIO. Most webcams will only work with the Windows operating system and require a USB connection. I don't think there is an RT driver for webcams.
Why the unusual combination? Why not run the webcam on a standard PC?

You can follow these instructions for using IP cameras from Axis or Basler:

Have you considered using other embedded platforms for vision, like the CVS, Smart Camera and EVS?
Here's the Resource kit for Vision on cRIO: https://lumen.ni.com/nicif/us/ekitvisioncrio/content.xhtml

Actually I'm specific about the cost of the camera.I can go with IP cameras as well but the application would not use PC after deployment.Hence I can use IP camera.

If you don't want to use a PC i suggest you use a CVS or an EVS. cRIO and image processing just don't fit together.
