how to divide an image in two equal halves?

hey,

can any one tell me that how to divide a particular image in two equal halves??for example if i have the back view of a car then after obtaining the binary thresholded image of it can a technique be applied to divide that car in to two halves???one giving the right breaklight and the other giving the left break light.

It sounds like the IMAQ Extract.vi is exactly what you are looking for. Take a look at the Extract Example.vi. You can find it in the example finder (Help»Find Examples) under Toolkits and Modules»Vision»Functions»Extract Example.vi.
