Hello everyone,
My machine vision system consist of a firewire camera (PointGrey Flea2) and two computers ( A desktop PC as a Real Time Target and a Host PC running Windows XP). These three elements are linked by means of a 3 port firewire-b Hub.
1. In MAX, I can only make the camera appear as a device of ONE of the host computers (There's no imaqdx device on the other one: I don't know wether this is OK).
2. I want the RT Target to be the controller. There, I simply open the camera interface with the default interface name (cam0 as configured in MAX) and start the acquisition (the camera control mode parameter is at its default state: controller).
3. Then, I try to start the listener. On the listening computer, I try to open your camera interface with the 64-bit unique identifier of the target camera (a string uuid:XXXXXXXXYYYYYYYY. Of course, I set the listener camera control mode parameter. But then I get the error than the camera cannot be found.
Any help to make this work is wellcome. Thanks in advance.

The Performance of 1394 devices may decrease after installing Windows XP SP2 or SP3.
The problem was solved by downgrading to the 1394 drivers that come with Service Pack 1.
