Is it possible to synchronize a camera (e.g. Basler scA640-70fm, IEEE 1394b or NI 1722 Smart Camera) with an analog input device (e.g. NI PCI/USB-6225 or NI PCI/USB-6255)? For example, it is important to a match video frame with a data sample digitized by the A/D convertor. In particular, it is important to know when the first video frame starts relative to the digitized data samples. If it possible to synchronize the camera with the A/D device then then how is this done?
Thank you,
Ian

The scA640-70fm can be synchronized with external events via the trigger input on the camera's 12-pin Hirose connector. The camera also offers an exposure active signal on the same connector that is often used to fire a strobe light every time the camera begins its exposure. The camera's inputs and outputs are explained in detail in the camera manual, see http://www.baslerweb.com/downloads/15607/Scout-f_Pylon_Users_Manual.pdf, see sections 5.2, 5.7, 6.3 and 6.8.
