Yes, I know LabVIEW & IMAQ support 12-bit image
in acquiring images/movies. It seems it convert them
into 16-bit inside, and save them into 8-bit or 12-bit
images.

My problem is I have some image files from some camera, and are 12-bit image files.

"IMAQ read from file" can not open them now.

How about posting a sample image file so other people can try opening it? It is hard to figure out what is wrong without an example.

Ok.

It can be opened in IMAQ. But details lost,

I tried to open the image in several different programs but had no success.

This looks like it is a proprietary format that only works with the camera and whatever software came with it. I'm not sure how it could be read into IMAQ.

Thank you for tour attention.

I downloaded the file and test it.
I can open it properly in ACDsee,IrfanView,GraphicsMagick Display.

I can also open it with Labview+IMAQ not correctly.
The Details are lost.

I revisited this thread after one year.

I found that some format convertor program, can convert 12bit tiff to 16 bit, then opend by IMAQ
without any problem.

such as imageMagik or graphicMagik
