imaqdx grab2, VI ressources issues

Hi,

I'm running a VI that grabs an image of 11000px x 2048px. I'm using the 'imaqdx grab2.vi' function. It is really simple but when the function is acquiring the image, all VIs/main VIs are extremely slow.

I now have to do some vision analysis on a previouly acquired image while acquiring a new image to gain time cycle and this function really stop all processes. it's doesn't help at all, the acquiring time is added to my analysis time.

Anyone have a clue? I understand it's a big image (20mb) but it shouldn't stop processes.

I'm running LabVIEW 2017 and VDM 2017. The RT application is running on a Industrial Controller IC3173 RT.

Thank you!

Patrick

I test with another IC3173RT and same behavior. I also test with a CVS 1458RT and it was working properly?!

Thanks

Help will be appreciated.

Hi,

Finally dig a lot and ended up this was a really a weird but easy to solve problem. The problem was in the VI in development and in the compiled executable as well and that on both IC3173 controller, it followed the VI ...

I started a new VI, select all, copy paste in the new VI and retest and everthing worked normally, imaqdx_grab2.vi freeze disappear  !!?

I would really love to have an explanation.

Thank you.

Patrick
