laser source for spatial scanning

Dear All,

I was wondering is there a suitable NI product to scan a laser line and/or point throughout the space. Scanning should be preferably controlled somehow.
The final goal is to capture with cameras scanned laser line/point for the purpose of 3D reconstruction. Thank you very much in advance.
Regards, Tomislav.

If you need to locate the coordinates of a laser in 3D space you'll need two cameras (one for xy and the other for xz/yz axis) connected to two frame grabbers. See http://www.ni.com/camera for cameras supported by NI frame grabbers. Depending on the type of camera you'll use, you should get the appropriate frame grabber for it (digital/analog). See http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/nioc.vp?cid=1292〈=US for info on frame grabbers. Finally you'll need NI Vision software to process the images and find the coordinates of the laser is.
I hope this helps!

Thank you for your input. At the moment I am not looking for cameras and frame grabbers but primarly for laser device itself which will scan throughout the space.
Regards, Tomislav.
