ocr text detection

hi all...i'm very new to labview... have labview 11 installed with me along with vision assistant. i found out that training and using OCR we can make  it read a string. but is it only 1 string of characters for 1 program? i mean to read a different string of characters i have to create another program and train it??

please guide me to develop a program in OCR where it can read any string that i show to it...please i need your help. thanks in advance

For ocr you basically do the training part in vision assistant. You also check the repeatability. Please ensure consistent good lighting  before developing the algorithm.

Once you have trained and the ROI(region of interest) is not going to change you need not do much. Post an image for better guidance

Hi, 6hari9.

I wonder whch kind of OCR are you using? I am looking for the fine OCR SDKs these days. Do you have any good recommendations about it? Or any good suggestion? Thanks in advance.
