product selecting CVS

How exactly do I go about using the product select feature of VBAI?  Is there a link that explains this feature in depth?  I'm unclear as to what the latching bit does.  Also, would this always take precedence over any thing else?  Like if the power went out, I won't have to worry about the remote options setting, it would just pay attention to the product select signal, right?

You may find this Knowledge Base Article useful in getting started in using product selection in VBAI.  It does not address the specifics for connecting to the CVS, but the steps are very similar.  There is no current document with detailed explanations of this feature, but I would be happy to answer any questions you may have.

The latching bit causes VBAI to read the inputs only when the latching bit is set to active.  This allows the inputs to float, or change without affecting the selected Inpsection.  Setting the inspection with this feature will cause VBAI to run the selected inspecton and will override.
