replacement for IMAQ ImageBorderSize VI

I currently have the ThermoVision add on for FLIR systems. I have written an application for a customer who would like to distribute this on multiple machines. Unfortunately "IMAQ ImageBorderSize" may have been part of IMAQ in the past but now is in the Vision development module.

ThermoVision uses only this VI from the Vision development module. The vision development module Runtime requires a license for every stand at  $419.00. I would like to bypass this cost by coming up with an alternative.

Any idea's ?

Aren't you going to need a Vision Acquistion license for each station anyway?  The Vision Development Runtime license includes a Vision Acquisition license, so the price isn't that much different.

Not so, FLIR has an application Thermovision that uses their own OCX to get info from their cameras. So no license required by NI.

I believe you can set the border size when creating an image.  Perhaps you could make sure the image is created with a large enough border, then get rid of the vi that changes the border size.
