Hi,
I am using the Dalsa C640 and M640 cameras and was wondering if there is a way to sync the cameras.
I have set the frame rate on the color camera and want to use the Strobe output of this camera to trigger the Monochrome camera.
Is this possible? I can hook up a meter and physically see the strobe triggering by slowing the frame grab rates, however, I cant get the Mono camera to grab.
Any ideas? In normal conditions we are using an encoder to trigger, however, we are not able to on this particular unit.
Thanks,
Amanda

To clarify, you want to wire the strobe output signal from Camera A to the trigger input of Camera B,, so camera A will be free running and camera B will be triggered?

Yes that is correct. I have camera A set to 42 frames per sec and have the strobe working off that. I put 12vdc on the strobe and tried to put it in series with the input trigger of camera B, but I dont get anything

Camera B probably needs to be setup to expect an external trigger input. In NI's Measurement and Automation have you set the ExposureAlignment to Reset? Please review the Genie camera manual starting with page 49 of 153, see http://www.dalsa.com/mv/products/cameradetail.aspx?partNumber=CR-GEN0-M640x. Pay special attention to the GigE Vision notes.
