Goodmorning,
I have been experimenting with VBAI lately and have a slight problem. When using a hardware trigger I sometimes get a time out.
My trigger is a 24V-signal and my cam is a Manta G201C (Allied). (Look below this message for trigger settings.)
In NIMAX I can set the time out, but according to me this is the maximum time between the trigger and the arrival of all the data packets (aquisition time out). I thought that in previous versions of VBAI we could also set a trigger time out (in the trigger tab). Problem is However that in VBAI2012 there's no longer a trigger-tab. And in the attributes-tab I can't find the trigger time out.
Any ideas where I can set this trigger time out?
BTW: With trigger time out I mean the time out if the there isnt a trigger signal after a specified time. Below is where this used to be (http://www.ni.com/white-paper/6158/en)
Below are my triggersettings.
-TriggerSelector: AcquisitionStart
-TriggerMode: On
-TriggerSource: Line1
-TriggerActivation: RisingEdge
-AcquisitionMode: MultiFrame
-AcquisitionFrameCount: 1
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,
Tom Declercq

Are you connected to a CVS or just using Windows? We have been moving away from the older 1394 step to the newer IMAQdx step (which supports 1394, USB, GigE, IP, and other camera buses). So my guess is that you are using the newer IMAQdx step which uses an attribute tree to configure settings and doesn't have a specific Trigger Tab. You will need to search through the attribute tree to find your trigger settings. Please send a screen shot of your attribute tree expanded if you're still having trouble.
Thanks,
Brad

Hi Brad,
Thanks for the reply. This is my attribute tree, but I do not find the trigger time out.

OK, now I see the problem. The timeout is not a camera attribute, it's a driver attribute. If you click on the "Show all Attributes" box and scroll to the top, there will be a section called Acquisition Attributes and it's under this section. Sorry for the confusion, and hope that helps. I hope to make a similar Trigger type tab in the future for this step to make it easier to find all these related attributes in the same place like we had in the older 1394 step.
Thanks,
Brad
