video + sound recording IMAQ PCI1411

I would like to create an application to record video images using a CCD camera as well as sound from a microphone and save both into a single file type: e.g. mpeg, avi, etc.

I am stuck with sound and video in separate files, please help.

Once this work, I am planning to perform both sound processing and image processing.

we have a departmental licence so most toolboxes are available, harware: XP + labview 7.1 + IMAQ PCI1411.

Hi Olivier,

There are some 3rd party companies who supply tools that can merge sound and video files into one, but currently we don't offer any tools that can do this.

One thing you may be able to look at doing is getting the 3rd party application and it may be possible to control it via LabVIEW with ActiveX. This all depends on the 3rd party program and I can't say for definite if this would work or not.
