video with pci1411 "can't lock on video source"

I am using a PCI 1411 and I have connected it with a VCR through the BNC output. The problem is that when I try to grab a picture it gives me the error "can't lock on video source". Also my video do not support any BNC connection so I had to use a connector to connect the video cable to the BNC cable and I don't know if this is the trouble.
I found some help pages of how to configure PCI 1411 with a camera but nothing to say about Video

A couple of things to check:

Make sure the VCR is outputting video to the connector you are using. Some VCRs require selecting the output channel. Make sure a tape is playing to provide a usable signal.

If you are using a RCA to BNC converter, it should work fine.

Make sure you selected the configuration file with the appropriate input. If you select the S-Video input, the card will not see the signal on the BNC input. Make sure the signal format is also correct.
