All devices on the USB accept hardware-level commands differently, just like devices on the PCI bus. This means that there are no universal ways for you to communicate to a USB device. Because of this, you may wnat to contact the camera manufacturer to see if they have already created an ActiveX control and have support for its use, since they will be more familiar with its features.
