why my image acquisition pci 1409 board could not be detected by matlab image acquisition toolbox?

i have a National Instruments PCI-1409 image acquisition board that works very well
with the software provided by National Instruments, whereas it could
not be detected by matlab image acquisition toolbox when the command
"imaqhwinfo" was executed. I don't know why. the system is XP and
DirectX9.
any of your advice will be greatly appreciated.

If you look at Matlab's Image Aquisition Toolbox Hardware Support Page they do not list support for our hardware. You should still be able to aquire images using the C functioncalls in Matlab. Here is the NI-IMAQ Function Reference Manual.

There is also the posibility to use Matlab from LabVIEW, or the prefered option of doing everything from LabVIEW and using our excelent IMAQ Vision for LabVIEW to handle all your image process needs and interface smoothly with your hardware!
