Measuring Strain Gages with the SCXI 1520 Module

Hi everybody,

I am beginner with the SCXI-1520 board. At the moment I am trying to configure my strain gages to measure tensions and compresions in the NI-DAQmx. When I tryed to set in the input range a max of 20k and min of -20k I got an error saying that the min could be as maximum as -1m. How can I handle this problem? because in fact I just can measure or tensions or compresions but not both at the same time because the values will be negative in a specific moment and the VI will stop working.

Hi,

Thanks for posting on our forum, and you can speak french if you want.
You shoud be able to measure tensions and compressions with a SCXI-1520 and a strain gage in "quarter bridge 1" configuration.

And you should be able to choose a signal input range of +/-20k.

If you still have this problem, does MAX displays an error message? Can you post your error message?
(I suggest that you first try the task in MAX, and then, when it works use it in LabVIEW).
