Hi
first of all I should say I have been on the phone multiple times to support and licensing trying no resolve this. So I will ask in here instead - a place I have found to be far more helpful.
Simple problem you would think....
Windows 7 pro 32-bit, Measurement Studio 2010, Visual Studio 2010 C# and .NET.
In NI license manager I have a green block on DAQ assistant, Development System and Standard Development.
My application runs fine on my machine, however when I build the software (debug or release) and deploy on a machine without VS or MS installed - boom doesn't run. Pretty useless - who is developing software only for their own machine?!
I asked support if this is a licensing issue and do I need "debug deployment" or something....the answer was "er err err I will call you back" - nobody called back.
Seems odd NI cannot even tell me what license I need.
Please help somone....

There should be a license file included with your project whenever you add NI references to your project. The file is called 'licenses.licx'. You can open this file and verify that the proper versions are referenced. If the dll's referenced by you application do not match the ones in the license file you can update them by selecting 'Measurement Studio' on the menu bar and then selecting 'Refresh Project License File'. You will need to do this for every project included in your solution which references any NI library. If the license file is missing be sure that all projects are checked out from source control before adding references.
You also need to be sure that you have activated your license. This can be done from the license manager.
As for the NI tech support, Labview is their bread and butter and Measurement Studio is just kind of pasted on for completeness. It is a good product but the vast majority of their effort is spent on Labview. This includes training for the tech support personnel. Some of their tech support personnel is very competent with Measurement Studio it just take time to find one.
