I found these old instructions, but they no longer work with the new NI package manager: https://knowledge.ni.com/KnowledgeArticleDetails?id=kA00Z0000019QEBSA2&l=en-US
Instead if I try to repair or reconfigure I can select the c-based or python-based code support, but there is no option for .NET:
And no .net examples are installed. Do I need to downgrade to an older version to get .NET support?

Hi saratoga,
The .NET support for the Vision driver has been removed from 2019, as you suspected. However, the NI VDM .NET support is now open-source has been added to Github, including the .NET examples. You can find that Github link in this same article.
Vision Development Module 2019 Does Not Include .NET Support
